How pricing works

Four parts, no surprises.

Metal value

Weight in grams times the day's rate for that purity. 22K is 91.6% gold, 18K is 75%. The rate card lists each one.

Making charges

The cost of labour and finish. Plain chains and bangles run lower, bridal sets and detailed rings run higher. We show it as a percentage or as ₹ per gram.

Hallmark and HUID

Each gold piece carries a BIS hallmark and a six-character HUID code. Enter the code on the BIS Care app to see the purity and the hallmarking centre that tested it.

GST at 3%

Charged on the metal value plus making charges. It appears as its own line on every bill, never inside another price.

A worked example

Old gold exchange

Bring old gold, pay less for new.

We weigh your old gold in front of you and test its purity. Its value is the sample rate for that purity, minus a flat 4% for melting loss. That amount comes off your new bill after GST.

Old pieces do not need a bill or a hallmark. Hallmarked pieces are tested the same way and are not paid any less.
